Phoebe defends herself

 Phoebe reacted without thinking, blocking his outstretched arm with her left hand and landing a blow on the side of his face with her right.  Kael stumbled back more in surprise than pain.

"Hands off!" Phoebe said, her confidence returning. "You're not putting me in obedience school without a fight."

"As you wish little one." Kael said, rage flashing in his eyes.
