Payback

With a heavy heart, Marissa looked at Candy and James. They were so young, so full of life. Her love for James was a flame, constant and unyielding. James reached out, his hand gently cradling her face. "Marissa, you're the bravest person I've ever met. No matter what happens, I'll always remember you as you are now."

Candy echoed his sentiment, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "You've helped us more than you know, Marissa. You're our friend...no matter what."

With a nod, Marissa wiped away her tears. They shared a long, tearful embrace, a moment of unity and mutual understanding. It was a bittersweet farewell, but they knew it was necessary. They had to save Candy, even if it meant Marissa losing everything.

Their plan was set in motion soon after. Gina was lured under the guise of a casual meet-up. As planned, James handed her the orb, wrapped in layers of cloth to hide its true nature. The moment it touched Gina's hands, Marissa, in Candy's body, jumped on her, feigning intense curiosity and urging her to unwrap it.

Just as Gina's fingers brushed against the sphere, Candy, in Marissa's body, lunged at her, feigning an intense lust. Startled, Gina dropped the orb, and it shattered on the ground.

A horrifying transformation took place. Gina's once youthful appearance rapidly aged, her skin wrinkling, and her body sagging. She let out a scream that echoed through the room as she fully realized what was happening to her. It was a horrifying punishment, a testament to the power of the Dark Beginnings.

Marissa braced herself as she regained consciousness in her old body, expecting to feel the haze of lust and depravity she was accustomed to. But instead, she felt... different. She could sense a profound change within her, but she didn't dare to hope.

A joyful squeal erupted from Nina , and James let out a stunned gasp. Confused, Marissa opened her eyes and was met with the sight of... Nina. It took her a moment to realize that she was looking at a mirror. Her heart pounded in her chest as the truth dawned upon her.

"We...we're identical!" Marissa said, her voice a mixture of disbelief and joy. Nina only nodded, her eyes still wide with shock. Then, her lips curved into a grin, and she let out a laugh, tears brimming in her eyes.

"We are!" she agreed, pulling Marissa into a fierce hug. Marissa returned the hug, laughing and crying at the same time. They broke apart only when James, his own eyes filled with tears of joy, joined them, wrapping his arms around them both.

"I must be the luckiest man in the world," he said, his voice thick with emotion. Marissa pulled back, her eyes meeting his.

"No, James," she said softly. "We are the lucky ones. We love you. And we... we love each other."

Nina nodded, her hand reaching up to gently touch James' cheek. "We're a family, James. A very unconventional, very unusual, very peculiar family. But a family, nonetheless."

They shared a moment of silence, their shared happiness filling the room. The priest, who had arrived to officiate the wedding, gave them a bemused look, but a whisper from the Heavens guided him to do the right thing.

The ceremony was beautiful, filled with laughter, tears, and an abundance of love. As they exchanged their vows, the three of them knew that they were embarking on a new chapter in their lives. A chapter where they would face everything together, as a family.

That night, as they retired to their shared bedroom, Marissa, Nina, and James felt a sense of peace and contentment. They had each other, they were in love, and they were ready to face whatever the future held for them.
