Paula hands the coin back to Jed, asking him to fix it, but does he want to?

Paula's shock at what had happened overtook the influence of the mental changes wrought upon her, and she pushed the silver coin into Jed's hands. "I'm so sorry, I can't believe I said that! Now I have all these different memories, and they're so tantalizing, but we need to fix this right now!" It was becoming more and more possible that Paula would end up being stuck as a slut for the rest of her life, and that imminent danger was overcoming any sex appeal the idea had.

Holding the silver coin in his hands once again, Jed wasn't sure what to do. On the one hand, yeah, he should probably think of a way to use the coin to turn Paula back to normal, shouldn't he? But Paula wasn't the only one affected my mental changes now. Jed now had a new set of memories as well, and with them the idea of keeping Paula the way she was, or even taking the changes further, had a certain appeal to them. After all, he knew from his new memories that it wasn't like this new life was terrible. Sure, Paula wasn't exactly as riveting to talk to as she'd been before, less opinionated or interested in debate, but then again they spent a lot of that lost time doing more fun things. What was Jed to do?
