Part ways.

The two of you dry off. She dresses back in her coat, and you put on your clothing. Though before you can leave, she takes your hand, gives it a tug, and pulls you in closer. Even after such a passionate time, her gesture makes your heart race. Her other hand slides into a pocket in her coat, and she retrieves something from inside.

"One more thing," she says. "Your signet ring."

"Like the one Vivi got?"

"Something more."

She opens her hand to reveal a ring that's similar in appearance. Though you pick it up and inspect it closer, and notice that there's far more going on. The two wolf heads aren't wrapped around each other like with Vivi's ring, but instead are embracing a vibrant green, square-cut gemstone. You look even closer to see details so intricate and tiny that nobody would ever be able to notice at a glance. There's a golden border around the gem with symbols too small to read, and the gem itself is swirling with some kind of energy within.

You slide it onto your left middle finger. "What is this?"

"A gift and an investment. This is a royal treasure crafted by and outstanding pair of artificers a long time ago. A gnome and an elf. Together they made Tol'vuus, loosely translated to... Ring of Sucking."

"I'll probably just call it Tol'vuus."

"Not only has it been made into a signet ring of Tivera, but it possesses the ability to absorb a spell and even certain magic effects to be used by the wearer. It can only hold one, however, and it does fade eventually. The strength of the power its able to hold is limited, and also altered by the ability of the one that wears it. So use it well. It may not protect you from a vampire's deadly fangs, but it should be invaluable in your quest regardless."

Wow. This is a big magic item! So I have Lauo and Tol'vuus. A sword and a ring. It's not many, but they're both pretty cool.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," you reply.

"We must part for now. But when you're back in the city once again, seek me out. I may have more work for you then."

"I'll see you then."

As you depart through the doorway, you hear her whisper quietly to herself as you go.

"Cathy, hm?" she mutters.
