"Paris?" I asked.

"That's right!" Carrie gushed.

Wow. I'd always wanted to go to Paris.

Carrie couldn't contain her enthusiasm. She seemed to be as excited as I was. "I'm totally going to get a selfie in front of Notre Dame!" she gushed. "Maybe a selfie with one of the gargoyles. I'm sure that one of us could totally get them to react to something!"

I blinked. Surely she didn't think that the gargoyles at Notre Dame really came to life. Right?

Alicia interjected with a list of tourist attractions she was intending for us to visit. Her list included Notre Dame and the Louvre museum.

In no time at all, we were on the plane, ready to go.
