POWWWEERRR!!!

With your shield held up, the monster's one remaining scythe arm swings down powerfully against it, with all of the momentum of its sprint. But you were ready for it, so before much of the impact can vibrate its way through the shield and into your arms you're able to push the monster's swinging attack off and to the side harmlessly. You did it!

You bring your shield down from where it was blocking your view, looking with big eyes as the monster scrambles to face you again. Your shove sent it sliding a bit backwards along the gravel path, so it needs to right itself before it prepares for a second attack with the same arm (sort of obviously).

It can't attack you as fast as it'd normally be able to, so you could probably use the time to back up and shoot it with your last explosive bullet. But you'd need to make sure you don't miss! Otherwise, another attack deflection might give you just the opening you need, so long as you can pull it off. But whatever you choose, you need to do it quick!
