Out the door

You took a quick look around and headed for the doors. Larry followed you outside. Both of you stopped to look around. It was early evening, but the sun had already set. There was a little bit of an afterglow from where the sun was just below the horizon. Of course, there were also street lights to help you see the way.

Cindy was nowhere in sight. There were a dozen or more places she could have gone. You could eliminate most like the campus police station and power plant. However, that still left at least four places she could have gone.

The closest and most obvious were the dorms. In addition to the rooms housing the students, it had the dining hall. It was dinnertime so she could have gone to get something to eat. And finally, there was the party scheduled there tonight.

Next was the Student Union. The food court had more desirable food than the dining hall. Another possibility was the small bar on the top floor of the union. It only served beer and wine, but that was enough for most students. Less likely, but still possible were the bowling alley or the movie theatre in the union’s basement.

The commons was the park-like center of campus where students gathered to enjoy the sunshine or throw a Frisbee. However, during the evening there were plenty of dark, secluded places for students to make out.

Finally there was the gym. Cindy, as one of the cheerleaders, spent a lot of time there. She could have gone there for a work out…and not the type that involved lifting weights.

Unsure, you looked to Larry. He too appeared to be unsure. After a moment, it came to you. You took off with Larry on your heels.
