Out of Body

You awake and find yourself kneeling in front of 5 elderly men from the tribe. Your hands are both held behind the back of your head, and you’re completely nude. You appear to be in a large hut made of woven grasses and reeds. You stare intently at the men. Finally, one of them, the man in the middle of the group, speaks.

“You, an outsider from the tribe, has been found on our premises. Not only such, but you have been caught stealing our precious Radodarnost berries.”

His unshaven, gangly grey mustache quivers with each movement of his mouth, each syllable. He continues on.

“Mr. Mico is a hard working man who doesn’t deserve to be victimized by thievery. Fortunately, he was prepared and able to apprehend you.”

Your arms start to grow tired, so you put them down - except that you don’t. Because you can’t. They are seemingly frozen in place. Another man, the one on the far left now speaks.

“You will see that your arms and the rest of your body are seemingly immovable. This is because of how the spell works. Your thoughts are your own, but your body is not. What we say goes.”

A third man, on the middle right now speaks.

“Stand.”

You feel your legs prop themselves up, before rising to your full mast.

“Put your hands at your side.”

You now put your hands at your side.

“As you can see, whenever I tell you something, your body simply must obey.”

The man on the far right now speaks. As he talks, he runs his hands through his seemingly endless beard.

“You have done a great disservice to our nation, who did nothing to provoke you. Now, unfortunately against your will, we will make it so that you repay all of the harm you incited.”

You feel a small shudder pass through you. You discreetly flex your fingers, and find that they can be moved.
