Chapter 10

Where do you go now?

Out The Window

With only your demonic brethren lurking within the building you know its time to leave. A feral grin crosses your lips as you stalk over towards the window and peek out into the world below. The streets seem almost empty except for the occasional flash of crimson as one of your demonic flock pass by and a chilling scream is heard as another human is reborn. Wanting to join in on the hunt you curl your taloned hand into a fist and thrust it through the window. The shattering glass rained down on to the street below.

Peering outward, you saw a lone runner come to a sudden stop as the glass fell about her youthful form. Your tongue darts out and laps up her overwhelming fear as it hangs precariously in the humid air. Not wanting to pass up on the fearful female you take a few steps back before diving out of the window towards your prey. A shrill scream erupts from her pale lips as you flare your wings and grab at her slim shoulders with your taloned feet. Another scream spews forth as you lift the lady into the air and carry her toward the barren rooftop.

After releasing her from your grip, you loom menacingly above her and growl incessantly. Your ears begin to twitch as you hear a familiar voice from behind, turning around your delighted to see...
