...Or are you?

You quickly get bored from the slow travel speed, fondly remembering the last time you ran across the landscape at your own superior pace. If only you could... Wait, that might actually be an option.

"Get up on my back," you say and get down on all fours.

"...What?" Ilimia asks.

"We're moving too slow for my liking. Your pack leader commands you to ride him."

"Uh... Okay..." Ilimia hesitantly climbs up on you. Her weight is far from unnoticeable, but with your strength it's manageable. You won't be able to run at full speed, but certainly faster than currently.

"Hold on," you say as you begin to sprint. Ilimia very quickly takes a liking to her situation, cheering you on.

"Riding a werewolf is awesome!" she calls out. "I finally get why people become tamers!"

You enjoy a steady travel with no interruptions, and talk a bit more about Ilimia's loyalty. Eventually you conclude that you can trust her. Not "trust" trust her, certainly not, but you can trust her not to attempt to kill you.

"Besides," she says, her red hair flowing in the wind as she clings onto your back. "I've decided to embrace this as a questline for now. Being a werewolf might be fun. I definitely wanna try running like this next time I turn."

You soon reach the town, and Ilimia slides off your back as you voluntarily revert to your human form for the first time. Being in control of your transformation felt strange. Strange but great.

You tell your wolves to stay outside like they did last time you entered a populated area, and then you and Ilimia walk through the open gate.

The town is moderately sized, certainly larger than the village you were at previously, and with a much safer-looking wall. This is not a place you'd be able to do much harm in. The guards you pass by are well-equipped with full-body steel armor and a variety of weapons, and they appear to be in decent numbers too. Overall, if your identity as a werewolf was revealed here, you would not be able to fight back for long and probably not even manage to escape. You decide to stick close to the town entrance to increase your odds of reaching it if you need to do so quickly.
