Vice-Presidency Awaits!

Onward

February 21st, 2017 - Oval Office

"Thank you Mr. Vice President," Senator Jeremiah Rhodes says to you as you shake his hand. "Just a reminder," you say, "the President will be in Ottawa until tomorrow evening so you can direct all further updates regarding the environment bill to me for the time being."

"Of course, sir, no problem," the Senator replies, exiting the Vice President's Office.

You sigh, and sink into the cushioned, leather seat that has graced the asses of countless historic Vice Presidents. You turn your mind away from these silly thoughts and focus on the task at hand. The President has appointed you as the unofficial lead for his first signature legislative achievement, a comprehensive environmental conservation bill.

As you begin to read some documents on pollution regulation, a Secret Service agent suddenly opens your door, and the First Lady walks into your office.

"Not as big as the Oval Office, huh?" she quips, smirking at you.

"We all have to start somewhere," you respond cheekily, giving her a wink, "my good looks can only take me so far."

First Lady Martha Justman shakes her head and laughs, approaching your desk. "It's been a month since I last saw you and it looks like the job has not gotten to you yet."

You smirk and get up to embrace her, saying "Some of us have more...stamina...than others." Before she can respond you pull her close and, whispering so that the Secret Service agents outside can't hear, you say "I hope your husband isn't too worn out by the end of the day. I would hate it if someone like you isn't receiving the...treatment...you deserve."

Blushing heavily, the First Lady stays silent in your embrace for a moment before pulling away. "I appreciate your concern, Sam. I can assure you that I am staying busy," she says, smiling suggestively, but sidestepping your insinuation.

Clearing her throat, she continues, " I actually came to invite you and your wife to dinner at the Residence, as with Noah in Canada, I thought I could get to know Georgia better. I already know you too well," she adds, grinning wickedly.

You assure that you would love to attend and that you'll check your schedule and get back to her school.

The rest of the days passes by quickly as you juggle phone calls from staffers, meetings with Congressional leadership, and countless other duties. Soon it is time to give a response to the First Lady.

Do you go to meet the First Lady or not?
