On time.

You grab your things and head out the door. Heading for the academics hall, you make good time to your illusions class.

You enter to find professor Sloss, a rather boring looking man in his forties, sitting at his desk reading. The desks are mostly empty with only seven other students. You find a seat in the middle of the room next to another boy you recognize from your psionics class the day before. Soon you hear the deep ring of the bell signaling the beginning of class.

Professor Sloss slowly sets his book down and stands before quietly walking to the podium at the head of the class. "Hello, I am professor Sloss and this is illusions class. Here we will learn how to manipulate light and create an image to our design." His voice is monotone and just as boring as he looks. You could tell it was going to be a long period.

"Hey." The boy next to you slightly leans over to whisper. "Names Lee, nice to meet you. I'm also a Phoenix. I think we had psionics together yesterday morning. You paired up with that Harmony chick right?"

"Yeah." You answer.

"Man, you are lucky. That girl is so hot. Do you know her?" He asks, the professor oblivious to your conversation.

"Not really. We met the first time yesterday in psionics." You did have to agree, the short blond prodigy was easy on the eyes to say the least.

"You should go for it bro. I would. I doubt she would even talk to me, my score was only sixty seven." He jests.

Professor Sloss continues his lecture, assigning the class to read up to chapter three in the illusionist's tome provided in the orientation packet. "In it you will find instruction on method and exercises to practice. Any student that can maintain a small illusion for a minimum of two minutes next class will be exempt from the first test, in one week."

The tolling bell ends class and all the students begin gathering their things. "Hey. I hear last year's wizard dueling team is doing a demonstration today at lunch. What to go check it out later?" Lee asks you.

"I'm supposed to meet someone at lunch today. If that falls through, I might show up." You tell him. It would be cool to see a wizards duel. You enter the hall to start the walk to your next class. You have alchemy with professor Schwartz.
