On the road to Viridian City

A smug smile on his face Ash ignored the kneeling Jessie.

"Soo... James. I dont really feel the need to enslave you as well. Just be a good guy now, will you?" And then with a look towards Jessie he added "Take your boyfriend or whatever James is to you, and leave me alone." The reaction was faster than he expected it. She jumped up, catching James at his arm and pulling him away, leaving only a trail of dust.

"I often wondered how they do that." Ash speaks to himself. "That and surviving crashes out of heights which are unsurvivable is a thing I surely should learn at some point... But I guess I have better things to do now..." And with these words he walked away from the encounter that would hopefully safe him a lot of stress in the future. "Guess I will be on my way..."

As he entered the Viridian Forrest he stopped a minute and looked over a lake he just passed. "Remember this place, Pikachu? We met Misty here for the first time... Damn those were good times. We should visit her now that we have the time, dont you think so?"

"Pika pi" his little friend agreed.

As they continued the way he remembered something else and with a smile he loudly called him. "Pidgeot! HEEEY PIDGEOT. Dont you remember Pikachu? He stayed here to protect the forrest. Now that we are here again, maybe he can fly us to the next city!" And just as he said it, the big Pokemon appeared in the sky, coming towards him fastly.
