The blonde one complains, "Morgan, you could have made her work for it."

"What, Fay?" the tall one with flyaway black hair says. "Were we going to stand here all day?"

You step out of the boat.

"Thank you," you tell Morgan. "Do you have any good advice for a new first-year?" you ask.

Morgan laughs. "Go straight to your House and don't stop for any Minervals. Or Draconids. Unless they're prefects, then you'll have to."

You essay a smile at Fay. The blonde, moon-faced Minerval tries to put on a good face for you, or perhaps for Morgan.

"Do you have the same advice, Fay?" you ask her.

Fay spreads her hands. "If you're hungry, go to the kitchen first. They may keep you busy for a while once you get to your House." She gets a sly expression on her face. "Let me help you on your way."

Fay makes a flourish with her wand and whispers some words. You feel a warm breeze blowing up from the direction of your knees. Your skirt billows like a sail and flaps at the edges.

"Couldn't resist?" Morgan says.

"Couldn't let a first year waltz in like she owns the place," Fay says. "Ta ta!"

Morgan and Fay load their bags into a hand-cart. Morgan starts pulling the cart up the sloping road up the bluff toward Boarbristle Academy.

You wrestle with your billowing skirt for a minute. It's annoying, but it's not actually exposing your knickers.
