Chapter 4 by Spongmaster Spongmaster

Is there a faster way then walking?

Off to find Stark on Foot

Alex at first tried to reason with this green warrior women who was named Gamora, but she wasn’t exactly the reasoning type. When Alex tried explaining that the Tony Stark was residing in New York, probably, and that they were in Colorado and that was not close to each other. Gamora didn’t really know Earth Geography.

“Then where are we?”

“Well it’s close to the middle of nowhere.”

“And how far is Nowhere to… oh… you mean –“

“It’s a long walk.”

So when Alex suggested they try something else Gamora almost took Alex’s head off, literally. Turns out the thing that Gamora really wanted was the jewel embedded in her forehead. It was called the Mind Gem, which was just to literally of a name for Alex to accept. But not wanting to end up in New York in two pieces Alex grabbed the closest pack and supplies and set off with Gamora.

The forest has a strange nature to it. You can do so much damage to it, as is the case with the recent intergalactic fight over a Mind Gem now decorating Alex’s head, and yet afterwards it goes back to normal. Birds started to tweet again, small animals rustled around, all sorts of insects buzzed around. Gamora didn’t seem to mind the mosquitos that were trying to taste her alien blood. But nature didn’t seem to take much notice of her either. Well the mosquitos took notice of her, but nothing else did.

Gamora explained a bit more about this Mind Gem thing stuck in her head. The person who possessed it would have telepathy. Apparently that WHOOSH that impaled the Kree was in fact her and her psychic powers. As long as the gem was in her head she could read minds and do… well I’ll let Gamora elaborate a bit more on it.

“I don’t know how it works or how you control it. All I know is you now have some control over telepathy.”

OK very informative. Note to self, do not let Gamora explain these things anymore.

Alex wasn’t sure which direction they should be heading in but Gamora sure was. At least Alex hopped so. If they were just wandering around in the forest Alex pondered the thought that this would be her last days on Earth. It would happen like this: they would wander around the forest, finally succumbing to starvation, an Gamora would either eat her body and take the head god knows where, or… no that’s how it would happen. Would anyone miss her? Would she miss anyone?

OK that was morbid. She shouldn’t dwell on this alien eating her lifeless corps, though Gamora was an alien and Alex didn’t know what aliens eat and… well it is possible that humans were on the menu. Maybe she should just ask Gamora what she ate –

“Hey, I got a question.”

“Make it quick.”

“How do you know English.”

“I know many languages, my father taught me nearly all of them.”

“Why did he do that?”

“Because it is easier to subjugate someone when you know their language.”

Wait what? Alex stopped dead in her tracks. “Are you trying to conquer Earth?!”

“No, now keep moving.”

Gamora didn’t elaborate more to Alex, even when Alex pressed the issue. What Gamora did do was pull out her sword and press it to Alex’s neck if Alex didn’t start to move once again. How did that cloak work anyway? It’s pretty cool: you can hide a sword in it apparently. Alex wondered what else this deadly women had in there.

She also admired that Gamora had a nice body. Like not that Alex wanted to have sex with Gamora (did she have sex in a normal way? Like non alien?) but that Gamora was just really fit, really tight. There was not a drop of fat on her. This women had trained and focused her body to… well I think I need a thesaurus because the only word that is coming to mind is perfection.

Maybe you’re thinking of accomplishment, arête, excellence, faultlessness, ideal, paragon –

Paragon! That’s the word. Thanks Alex.

You’re welcome.

Alex noticed that Gamora had the paragon of a trained, fit body. No one would come close to this sort of design in life, just give up now if you try. There was something extra sexy about it since Gamora could, in theory, kill you without batting an eyelash.

But that is enough walking for now. The sun was setting and Alex was getting tired. “Hey Gamora, can we rest for the night?”

Well?
