Off to court

You arrive at court late, much to the council's chagrin. You awkwardly stand beside your throne, "I'm sorry for being late. I...uh...slept in."

You sit awkwardly on your throne, "Before we begin. I'd like to explain the situation that occurred at Castle Luxem. The Countess was being possessed by a demon." several gasps were heard throughout the crowd, "Thanks to the brave men that Ser Garret picked out for my King's guard. We managed to overcome and succeed in defeating the fiend. Countess Marissa and her family can now sleep safely."

Loud cheers permeate the crowd and you see Lady Victoria sneak in. You notice with some internal anxiety that her father, Count Erwin, notices her appearing immediately. You hope that he doesn't drill her for information too hard.

However, Court has begun and it's time for the problems of the land to be made apparent.
