Not given any time to think, Ash was tackled by Latias, who gave him the most heart-felt kiss, that even Arceus could feel the pure love they had for each other.

Ash broke the kiss and looked deep into his lover's eyes. He knew she was his mate. It was his destiny to be with her.

However, Ash was still confused. "Was I always a Latios?" He asked, finding it hard to wrap his head around... everything.

"Yes, your mother is a Latias, and your father was a Latios, or should I say, is a Latios." Arceus said, which instantly caused Ash to scream.

"MY DAD IS STILL ALIVE!?"

"Yes, but I'm afraid we can't retrieve him. He's being guarded by Team Rocket, who captured him right before you were born. Your mother fled to Pallet Town to escape from Giovanni, and became Delia Ketchum. You were hatched from your egg a few months later. You were raised as a human, as your mom wanted you to not know about the trouble she was in or what you were. She did this to protect you, but now you are old enough to comprehend what happened, and to figure out how to save your father." Arceus said.

Ash had some trouble processing the information Arceus told him, but felt his mate nuzzle up to him to keep him calm, which worked. "For now, can I focus on my mate?" Ash asked.

"Of course. Take good care of my granddaughter." And with that, the two Lati lovers were teleported to the secret garden in Altomare.
