Jess, legs pounding, sprinted down the alleyway. Someone or something else was able to move throughout frozen time, and it seemed, at least in that moment it was on their side. She had to know more.

Rounding the corner to where she expected to see someone running away, there was no one. Not a trace!

"Jess! Wait up! What the fuck just happened back there?!" Richard said.

"I have no clue, I was trying to find whoever that was", Jess said, only half paying attention to him, looking around trying to see where someone could have ran off to.

"Forget that person! Demons actually exist?!"

"Apparently, I didn't know before just now, although I felt like they did, deep down. It's hard to explain", Jess said, now focusing his attention on her brother.

"Also who's Freyja? And what's a Vetala", Richard quickly added, demanding answers.

"Both of which I don't know. That wasn't 100% me talking right there, something came through me... through the ring. The entity that came through, I'm guessing is Freyja... Freyja, I've heard that name before...", Jess tried thinking about where she might have heard a name like that before. It was on the tip of her brain but she just couldn't quite wrap a thought around it.

"Whatever, let's just get home and unfreeze time. I've had enough for one day."

Agreeing with him, Jess and Richard set off towards their house.
