Nothing but a red flashing light.

Ava and Spark scanned the area through their rifle scopes as their automated helmets disappeared. Except for blinking red lights that illuminated the entire corridor, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Both agents cautiously stepped into the hallway, half expecting someone...or something to jump out of no where. Ava took point and led the two woman team down the corridor, never lowering their weapons until they reached a turn. Ava slowly peeked around the corner to see much of the same: an empty all white corridor with a flashing red light. Having cleared the initial area, Ava decided to radio back to GDF HQ.

"Nest this is Banshee, over" she spoke into her transmitter located on her right wrist.

"Copy that Banshee, go ahead," a grainy voice responded.

"Spark and I have reached the station and cleared the entrance. Any idea which room and how far lifeforms were located? Over."

"Banshee be advised majority of life-form signals were in the command deck. This is located 30 yards down the hall and to the left. Room has three entrances with two accessible in your corridor. Over," replied the voice.

"Roger Nest. Banshee and Spark moving forward to contact, over and out" finished Ava, hoping the rest of the mission is as easy as finding the command deck.

Ava motioned to Spark to follow her down the next hallway. As both women got closer to the first door, they noticed that blood stains could be seen on the floor. Ava slowed her walking speed down to a crawl with her companion following suit. As she was a foot away from the door Ava could hear noises coming from the command deck that sounded like a conversation, but definitely not in any language she was familiar with.

Ava crouched down and took a deep breath. She once again slowly peeked around the corner and looked into the room.
