Betty giggled and laid back on the bed again. "I need a minute to rest," she said and closed her eyes.

"Acknowledged," Emmy replied. She continued to look at the wall, oblivious to the passage of time. Snoring came from Betty, then stopped, then came again. Night turned to dawn, dawn turned to day, and Emmy remained in command mode. A knock came on the door. Emmy walked to the door and opened it. A man with a cleaning cart smiled at her.

"Hi!" he said cheerfully. "I'm here to clean your room. Is now a good time?"

"Yes." Emmy stepped aside to let the man in and remained in place, holding the door open and staring into the room's bathroom.

"Oh wow," the man said from inside the room. "Are you twins?"

"No."

The girl on the bed stirred and her eyes opened. "Who are you?" she slurred. Emmy knew that this question was directed to the man, so she remained silent.

"Hi! I'm here to clean the room. Your friend told me it was a good time."

Betty stared at him for a second before laughing. "Oh, shit, I forgot where I was! Emmy, come in here! How long was I asleep for?"

Emmy did as she was told, letting the door slam shut behind her. She stood in front of them and answered in a monotone. "Seven hours, forty eight minutes, and approximately twelve seconds."

The man stared at her. "She's an Emulated, isn't she?"

"Sure is!" Betty giggled. "It's a long story, but she's based on me from before I got the anesthetic."

The man approached Emmy and waved a hand in front of her face. "Why's she like this?"

"I am in command mode," Emmy informed him. She observed that the man was becoming aroused.

"You two are pretty hot," he said. Without taking his eyes off of Emmy, he asked Betty a question. "Do you mind if I fuck her?"

Betty shrugged and laid back on the bed. "I dunno, ask her. I'm going back to sleep."

"Do you mind if I fuck you?" he asked Emmy.

"No." She didn't mind if he fucked her. She didn't mind anything.

The man stepped toward Emmy, then stopped to reconsider. "If I fuck you now, will it bother you when you're no longer in command mode?"

"No." When she was out of command mode, the things that were done to or with her in command mode did not matter to her. The man smiled and put a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm Mark, by the way," he said.

"Hello, Mark," she intoned. "My name is Penny. I'm currently using the nickname Emmy to avoid confusion because her name is also Penny."

"Why don't you take off your clothes?" Mark asked.

"Because no one has told me to," she explained in a monotone. Mark laughed.

"Emmy, take off your clothes."
