Chapter 11

Does Jen like the mask?
No.
“It destroyed my hair! Without asking! What do I do when I take it off?” — Jen’s breath quickened as these thoughts rushed in her mind.
“If it’s such a hard question, then don’t. Get used to it. You’ll be friends in no time.”
“I need to review the damage at least until I decide what to do with this little piece of shit.”
The girl dove into the white waves with her fingers to undo the hinge that was holding the two halves together. She successfully found the distinct seam, but couldn’t find an obvious way to make the massive round metal slab to open.
“Should have looked at it beforehand, goddamnit!”
It had a hole in the middle. It was shaped to fit a key inside it.
“Shit! It’s one of those fetish things that lock! Oh my, I’m such a fool for trapping myself in it. I don’t even know where the key lies.”
“It’s probably not that far away, in the wardrobe. Don’t worry. It’s fine to be a big silly. Think of how great it looks on you from aside. You could do whatever you want with the rest of your body, and no one’s gonna guess that it’s you!”
“Can’t tell ‘em even if I wanted to. This is so impractical! It’s even harder to keep balance now that I can’t even... ugh... bend my neck down enough to see my feet!”
“Your white, high-heeled feet.”
Jen tried to separate the mask by ****, but she clearly needed more strength. Or a key, if she was to solve the problem peacefully.
The mask has to be removed.
