You do want your stuff back, but you don't want to have to see Grinko ever again. You can buy new stuff.

You set back out on the trail. You remember just enough of your map to know there's a town past the mountains, so you decide to head there. You can make some gold, or steal the items you need.

Thankfully, your descent down the mountains is relatively uneventful. it's a long walk, and your legs get sore, and of course the snow towards the top isn't fun, but you don't see Grinko or any other monsters for most of the trip.

Moving through a stretch of woods towards the base of the mountain as the sun sets, however, you begin to hear strange noises. It sounds like heavy, raspy, breathing. You walk faster, but the noises don't fade away. The rustling in the trees gets louder and louder. Something is coming.
