You're not sure if the cop believes you or not, but thankfully he doesn't press the issue. "Alright kid, on your way, time to call it a night," said the cop, stepping back from the car and waving you on. You decide not to argue and start up your car.

"So what now?" asks Anna as you drive down the hill, back towards town.

"How about we just park up and sleep?" you suggest, "It's pretty late already."

"That's fine," replies Anna, "It's been an exhausting day."

With not much else to do you pull the car off the road, this time parking behind some bushes in case the cop comes back along the road and spots you again. Then the two of you recline your seats and spend and uncomfortable night in the car.

Several hours later you wake up as the first rays of sunlight stream in the car window. You look around in bewilderment, having momentarily forgotten where you were, then it all comes back. Anna is already awake and you see her sitting outside the car.

"So what now?" you ask Anna as you get out of the car, realizing you are now caught up in this whole mess and will not be able to just walk away from it. Besides, from the way things have gone so far you believe that by sticking around you might get a shot of getting further with Anna.

"I've arranged to meet with someone who can help us out," Anna tells you, "We're gonna head to a diner in town for breakfast, he should meet us there."

"Okay," you agree, not having any other options that you can see, "Let's do it."
