Does he get it?
No
Julianna reeled back, away from the security guard, ring slipping onto her finger just next to her wedding band. He was blocked by the desk, desperately reaching for her. "What's the matter with you? Is something wrong?" she asked.
"Um, no," Curtis said, relaxing. Okay, so he just had to think this through. It was the ring all along that was doing it, so he just needed to find a way to get it back. Or did he? He could probably wait for her to put it on display, then he could recover it.
His boss looked at him suspiciously, but turned back to the computer. "Well then. Ahem. The Silver Ring is said to be magical, but no legend is clear on what that magic is supposed to be. It is said that it is unwieldy, and difficult to control, serving a trickster god. It's also supposed to have a twin, but that is long lost." She admired the ring on her finger when the old man grunted. "Yes, Love?" she said. The old man appeared to still be winded and put up a finger, asking for a second to recover. "Oh, that's right, you've been trying to track down the Gold ring. Do you still not have any leads?"
The old man looked contemplative, and then nodded. "Found... something..." he said. Curtis thought he looked like he was about to keel over. The second he got the ring back, he'd do something about that.
"Oh that's wonderful, Hun, that's been a long time coming. The display will be much nicer with both, and we can rub it in the face of that rapscallion, Conwell. Now, Curtis, would you describe this ring as effervescent or or opalescent?" Julianna asked, holding the ring up to Curtis.
It didn't even occur to the man that he could take it in the moment as he considered. She was clearly writing a description in the Museum's database, so she was about to be done, and she'd take it off. He watched it with hungry eyes, but shrugged. "I'd call it silver, Ma'am. It's definitely not opalescent because that means it has more colors."
"Oh you're right," she said, admiring it. "It goes so well with my nail polish." She sighed and began removing it. Curtis waited. Almost time. "It's such a shame I can't wear it all the time. Should I ever take it off?"
Fuck! "No, Ma'am," Curtis said. "It's yours, and if you like it so much, you should keep it. We can put a fake on display." He knew that this was the truth, but at the same time... He'd need a new plan. And then he had one. The ring had a twin.
How does he get it?

Rings of Confirmation
'Can't say no to that!'
With two rings, induce others to either affirm or negate whatever you ask while also magically making such values true. (Inspired by another story on some other place somewhere.)
