No Need For A Prayer

Sasami left her room, looking around cautiously for anyone who might wonder where she was going. She proceeded out to the old tree that was the soul of Yosho's ship so many years ago. She closed her eyes and her forehead jewels shimmered. When she opened her eyes again, she stood in the heart of the Juraian ship, Tsunami, the most powerful ship in the universe, it was said. It's soul opened her eyes as though she had been asleep and gazed at her younger self with a benevolent, compassionate smile.

Tsunami: Sasami. Welcome to your ship.

Sasami: Ha ha! Hi, Tsunami!

Tsunami: You look well. I am pleased.

Sasami: Hee-hee. Thanks. You're as pretty as ever!

Tsunami: Thank you, princess.

Sasami: Hey, Tsunami?

Tsunami: Yes?

Sasami: We're part of each other, right?

Tsunami: That is correct, princess. We are, in a sense, one and the same.

Sasami: That's good! 'Cause, i was wondering....

Tsunami: ?

Sasami: C-can i....look like you? Just for a while?

Tsunami: Hm? Why would you want to do that? You are beautiful as you are.

Sasami: No. I'm not. I-i wanna look like a grown-up so Tenchi will be my valentine!

Tsunami: ....What?

Sasami: On Earth, they have a thing called Valentine's Day, that's all about love and dating. I...I want Tenchi to date me on Valentine's Day. If i don't look grown up, Ryoko will be his valentine!

Tsunami: I see. Sasami, though it is my duty to help you, it is a misuse to use the Jurai power to best a romantic rival.

Sasami: But...but Ayeka does it all the time!

Tsunami: She uses her own power, not that of her ship. Do you understand, lady Sasami?

Sasami: But....sigh ok...

Tsunami: sigh Lord Tenchi means so much to you, doesn't he?

Sasami: Uh-huh....

Tsunami: ...Very well. Touch my hand.

Sasami giggled and wiped away a tear as she reached for Tsunami.
