Neutrality & Code: Ragnarock
Finally let us discuss the last two, but if not the most important things about the Henchman trade.
Our Neutrality and Code: Ragnarock.
Neutrality
Now, you might be questioning the logic behind being both a henchman and somehow neutral in the events that you will eventually find yourself caught up in.
To explain what we mean by neutrality, we first have to understand how the guilds do business.
You see henchmen and the demand for henchmen, all come from the never ending conflicts between good and evil. This delicate balance is where henchmen thrive and are most needed. It is this balance of power that henchmen rely upon in order to conduct their busniess. To put it into words, any utopia is automatically a distopia for all mankind and thus by extention, henchkind.
Now, orginally our neutrality extended to henchmen putting down their arms during an end of the world senario. Eventually though, this changed to the act of activily trying to prevent the end of the world. To finally making steps to ensure that the balance of power of these worlds in questioned would never be threatened and thus keeping these worlds as active customers for henchmen services.
thus, this rule over the passage of time has gone forward and changed as it now prevents the mass slaughtering of any heroes, villains, or even civilians that exist within any of the worlds that any henchman operate in, as to avoid creating worlds of absolute peace or absolute chaos. This is also applies to politics as while henchmen can support and even supplment forces of a particular faction. Henchmen will never be used as political tools to progress any type political agenda. Thus cutting the amount contracts that a goverment can place for these henchmen guilds down to much more legal and managable amounts.
That said the original purpose of our neutrality still exists and exists as a single shared code phase that all henchmen have to know.
Code: Ragnarock
Code: Ragnarok is the emergency code given to all henchman that an end of the world scenario or the end of stability scenario is about to occur, in order to prevent this event or crisis from taking place, the henchmen are hereby removed and relieved of all contracts that they are currently apart of while operating in that world and must now assist in preventing either the end of the world or the end of the balance of power that exists in that world. Following which, the perpetrator of the end of the world scenario must be eliminated and any belongings, or even family members of that individual, are immediately forfeit and immediately become the property of the Henchman Company in question.
Be aware that Code: Ragnarock is an absolute last resort. That must never be taken lightly as the things required of the henchmen who enact this code is often traumatic.
