He tried to log onto the internet, but his service provider kept screwing up and he couldn't connect. "Damn it," he said in irritation. He decided to get some air before checking out the party.
He was heading to the local convenience store to get some smokes, when he heard a familiar female's voice down an alley.
Screams for help? Or just friendly chatting on a cellphone?
