Naked Bartending

"I can't believe..." Tifa's voice wavered, even though she was the only person in the room, or even the bar. She paced around the small storage room in the back of 7th Heaven, clenching and un-clenching her fists as her heart hammered in her chest. "I can't believe I'm going through with this."

It had been Jessie's idea. It was always Jessie's idea. 7th Heaven was already a front for AVALANCHE, and it hadn't been the first time she had brought up using Tifa's...assets to make money. But times were hard for the AVALANCHE crew right now. The reactor bombing had raised their profile quite a bit and put Shinra on edge. It had already been hard enough to move around and get supplies, but now it was nearly impossible. The few smugglers that were willing to work with them still had doubled, or in some cases tripled their prices. Add to that Cloud's fees and AVALANCHE was broke.

Jessie's usual joking suggestions were now **** begging. She badgered Tifa for several days, but what finally broke her were Wedge's puppy-dog eyes as he told her he didn't have the gil to get his gun fixed after a nasty brawl with a monster on a neighborhood watch patrol.

So she relented, but on one condition; Jessie had to get Biggs, Wedge, Cloud, and Barret out of Sector 7 for the night. She could handle her usual patrons. Hell, they already propositioned her practically nightly, offering hundreds, sometimes thousands of gil (that she doubted existed) to take her clothes off. But there was no way she could endure the humiliation of exposing herself for money if Cloud, Barret, and the rest of the gang were there.

So Jessie concocted a wild goose chase and left with the crew that morning. Marlene was spending the night at a friend's house, and now Tifa was preparing to to spend the night tending bar in the nude after spending the afternoon posting flyers advertising the one-night-only event.
