If it's anyone important, they'll leave a message or call back. Maisie thumbed the decline button and walked back to her room, phone in hand.

She sat on the edge of her bed and glanced at the time. A little after eleven. Did she have any plans today? She couldn't honestly remember.

Her phone buzzed with a message, likely a voicemail. She turned it over and was surprised to see a message from Sophie.

Hey chicky, are we still on for lunch? Haven't heard from you all morning.

Fuck, that's right. She'd made lunch plans with Sophie.

At this point, with the approaching headache, it might be better to raincheck. Then again, Sophie might be able to clue her in on just what the fuck had gone on last night.

Maisie stared into space, debating the two options. On the one hand, staying home and ordering some food seemed like a preferable day. On the other, going out with Sophie was always fun, she might find out more about the night before, and she might get a chance to act on this little... whatever that was going on between them.

She clicked open her phone and started typing a message.
