A few minutes later Hal was standing by Kyla’s desk asking to hold any calls and visitors until he and I were done with our meeting. Hal then escorted me down a long corridor with offices and conference rooms.

We entered Hal’s office and Hal had me take a seat on his couch. Hal sat behind his desk and began to explain what he needed from me. Basically, he needed me to take data his company had compiled on human targets and run it through software I developed while working with Erik to find patterns and identify the subject and their associates. Hal also advised we would be flying out to San Francisco for a meeting and to present the findings.

I returned to my office to find Erik waiting for me. I explained to him that I would be flying out to San Francisco with Hal in the morning for a presentation. Obviously Erik knew this already and had my portion of the presentation already for me. He told me to take the rest of the day off to pack and study the presentation material.
