How to treat the remaining elf?
Much more gently
It took three weeks for the elvish army to realize what happened to their capital. At first, the surviving general wanted to seek instant revenge, but they quickly found that they were losing control of the other elf settlement without the capital.
Without any real centralized authority, infighting started within a matter of a couple of months. When you sent the dead king's daughter with a message of bow or be destroyed, they were so weak and disorganized that they wisely choices to bow and join the horde.
Now With an army behind, you decided to march on your homeland.
Standing in front of your horde, you look at the army your Uncle has gathered. Nearly three-fourths of the nobles stood before you; a lot of faces that you have actually fought with before; you had hoped that the southern conflict had pulled more of them because now they outnumber you slightly. Your army consists of 50 percent horde and 50 percent elf. One on one, you would take a horde member over any human soldier, how the horde is not trained to fight as a unit while your Uncle's army is. The elves are only here out of fear of the horde. As a result, they are likely to turn and run if things start going south. Leaving you with only one option.
You walk out from your massive horde and towards your Uncle, who is standing a few yards in front of his army.
"Send your horde back from which it came. No one has to die today." Your Uncle pronounces in his kingly voice.
"Your right about that none of them have to die today, just you. So accept my challenge so we can limit the amount of death to just you." Your cockly state
Your mother hugs his arm, "then what, do you really think the people will accept you as their king after what you."... You interrupt her.
"Mom, I only did what you made me do by going to bed with the man that killed my father. As for the people accepting me. They won't have any other options, because once the traitor's head hits the ground, I plan to remove all challengers either by sword or by cock." You turn you back to your Uncle, "traitor, I'll be waiting for you to accept my challenge out there."
You knew your Uncle would have preferred not to take on your challenge, he is a schemer, not a fighter, but since you made the challenge in front of his nobles, it would have made him seem weak to not accept it.
It took just ten minutes for your Uncle to meet you out in the field." are you ready to die, boy."
"Are you, traitor? I am surprised you actually took up my offer, considering you like to do all your work from the shadows " he quickly and foolishly charged you, showing his lack of combat experiences, and in a swift move, it was over.
His head hit the ground, and without looking back, you walk towards the tent once again.
Your mother gives you a sly smile when you walk in.
"You know I only..."
