Mrs. Miles

Lauren hyperventilated as she made her way over to Mrs. Miles house. She looked around in concern, but relief washed over her face as she saw that Freddy’s car wasn’t in the driveway. She wouldn’t be caught dead in this situation if he were a witness. Still, that didn’t mean that he wasn’t there.

Nervously, Lauren slowly walked up to Mrs. Miles’ house, stopping once she reached the door. She shivered a little in humiliation as she looked around one more time before biting her lip, ringing the doorbell.

As Lauren stuck her thumb into her mouth, she began to wonder whether or not she had made the right choice. Should she make a run for it and beg Vanessa to have her do something else? That was when she heard the door to the house being unlocked. Lauren began hyperventilating again, praying that it was just Mrs. Miles answering the door and not Freddy. After all, the universe wouldn’t be that cruel…
