Chapter Six: Amy's Origins - Part 2

The next day arrived, and young Amy woke up with a sense of joy and anticipation. As she made her way downstairs, she found Mr. Michael already prepared, ready to teach her all about magic potions. Though Amy struggled at first, making mistakes and failing repeatedly, Mr. Michael never gave up on her.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as Amy continued to learn and grow. With each passing day, her knowledge of potions expanded, and her skills improved. Finally, after days of perseverance, Amy successfully created her first potion under Mr. Michael's guidance—a simple healing potion. It was a small triumph, but it marked the beginning of her journey as a potion-maker.

As time went on, Amy delved deeper into the world of magic, learning not only about potions but also about the rules of the bar. Rule one stated that all changes that occurred within the bar would disappear once the guests left. Rule two emphasized that no request was considered dumb, encouraging Amy to embrace the curiosity and creativity of her patrons. And rule three, the most important of all, emphasized the safety and well-being of both guests and the host.

Years passed, and Amy grew older while Mr. Michael remained unchanged. However, Amy found solace in the fact that her aging allowed her to continue learning and expanding her knowledge. She absorbed everything Mr. Michael taught her, becoming a skilled and knowledgeable potion-maker in her own right.

On her twenty-fifth birthday, Mr. Michael approached Amy with a mixture of pride and sadness in his voice. He revealed to her the final secret of the bar, explaining that it was not only a home of magic but also a magical entity itself. The bar would change its appearance to match the desires of its host. Amy looked at him with confusion, but she listened intently, eager to understand.

As Mr. Michael observed the wonderful and beautiful woman Amy had become, he spoke with a hint of melancholy. "It's all yours, Amy. I'm giving the bar to you. I have nothing left to teach you. I hope you will look after it well, as it has looked after me."

Amy's heart sank, and she pleaded, "Please don't go, Michael. I still need you."

Michael gently shook his head, a bittersweet smile on his face. "No, Amy. You have been running this bar for the past year. I just wanted to make sure you were ready. And now, you are."

Amy approached him, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. After the embrace, Michael left through the door, leaving behind a box on the bar table. Inside the box, Amy discovered a black book filled with magic drinks and spells, some of which Michael had never shown her before. Alongside the book was a black dress with her name embroidered on it.

Overwhelmed by the weight of her new responsibilities, Amy sat on a barstool, taking in the changes occurring around her. The bar transformed into a modern style, more fitting to her own tastes and personality. The name outside the bar changed to "Miss Amy's Magic Drink Bar," a testament to her newfound role as the bar's owner and guardian.

With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, Amy realized that her journey had only just begun. She would honor Mr. Michael's trust and care for the bar, continuing to create magic and wonder for all who entered. As she opened the black book, she knew that there was still much to learn, and she was ready to embrace the challenges and adventures that lay ahead.
