Chapter 61 by Marcus Cooper

Who are Makoto's cabin mates?

More future Ultimates

Taking Makoto to his cabin, Akane beams, believing that one boy won't make camp any less fun for any campers, including him.

"Here's your cabin! All your bunkmates are returning campers, so they should be able to guide you. Let me know if you guys have any problems."

Akane walks off, leaving Makoto outside the somewhat intimidating (for him) cabin. He swallows his spit, then opens the door, finding three girls.

"Who are you?"

The one who speaks is a petite blonde, her hair in pigtails that somewhat resemble crescent moons.

"I'm Makoto...I'm your new cabin mate..."

The girls process this for a bit, but eventually, the blonde realizes what he said.

She did not react favorably.

"OH, HELL NO!"

Pushing past Makoto, the tiny girl yells out for someone with authority in this camp.

'Great, my first day, and someone already hates me...'

"Don't worry too much about her, she comes from a traditional family, so she's used to rules being followed to the letter."

A shy voice speaks from the upper bunk. Though hard to recognize without her hoodie, it is unmistakably a younger Chiaki Nanami.

"Do either of you hate me...?"

"No. I don't really get angry." Chiaki did puff out her cheeks at a thought "Though I do wish I could bring my GameGirl here..."

"I don't know you, and I'm certainly not afraid of you. The counselors wouldn't let you in if you were bad."

The third girl had gray hair in short twin braids, this was Peko Pekoyama.

"Counselor! There's a boy in our cabin!"

"I know, Hiyoko-chan. Who do you think let him in?"

Hiyoko came back in 'pulling' Tamiko.

"But...But this a girls' camp! What if he's a pervert?!"

"He's not a pervert; he's seven. Besides, he has nowhere else to go. Didn't your traditional family teach you to think of others?"

Blushing red from anger, Hiyoko stomped to her bed and fumed. Tamiko leaned down and whispered to Makoto.

"Don't worry too much about her; she's more bark than bite. She's like that to everyone at first, so she'll warm up to you."

Tamiko leaves the children to unpack and introduce themselves.

What happens next?
