Monkey Bars

Vanessa smirked evilly as she led Lauren forward by the hand. The little woman hung her head in humiliation, not sure if today could get any more humiliating.

Suddenly, Lauren heard giggling. Looking up, Lauren went wide eyed in horror as she saw that Vanessa was leading her to the monkey bars...and the giggling was coming from the neighbors laughing at her!

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! Lauren thought to herself, blushing profusely as Vanessa stopped next to the a neighbor Lauren vaguely recognized.

"Excuse me, Ma'am?" Vanessa asked politely, putting on a more genuine smile. "Can you watch my baby sister? I promise she won't be too much trouble."

The woman looked at Lauren for a bit before giving a warm smile. "Of course she can!" she said sweetly, " And don't worry about it. I run a daycare in one of the apartments, so one more rugrat is not going to be a problem!"

"A daycare, hmm?" Vanessa said as she briefly looked towards Lauren, a chill running up the little woman's spine. I'll keep that in mind... She thought to herself.

Out loud, she looked towards Lauren and said, "You go and play nice now, Lauren."

"Vanessa!" Lauren whispered harshly, her face turning neon red. "Don't use my real name! And I am not playing with these brats!"

"I don't see the big deal." Vanessa responded, "Lauren is a very popular name. And I think you will play with these kids. Or would you like me to post all of those pictures all over the internet?"

Lauren let out a small whine. She new that the threat was not empty. Swallowing what little pride she had left (if any), the little woman waddled over to the monkey bars. She stopped only momentarily to look over her shoulder to see Vanessa and the woman talking with one another, no doubt Vanessa spreading lies that would end up humiliating Lauren in the end.

Vanessa waved Lauren on with a smile, watching as the red-faced, diapered woman waddled over to the monkey bars to play.
