Mixed Waffles and Mixed Feelings.

It takes a few minutes for you to collect the energy to finally get out of bed, but the scent of waffles and the genuine curiosity of Alex actually cooking a meal rather than ordering take-out is enough to give you a reason to get out of bed. You manage to find a decent pair of shorts and slide them on, then grab hold of one of Alex's t-shirts, one that is a bit oversize for you and slides off of one of your shoulders, but does the job, and then finally made your way downstairs.

As you make your way from the stairs, through the living room, and into the kitchen, you can hear the sound of Alex's humming come to a sudden stop, seemingly as he notices the sound of your footsteps. "Don't stop on my account." You say, and flash the man a smile, before leaning against the frame of the kitchen. Alex gives you a goofy, embarrassed smile, before turning back to the waffle iron. He'd made quite a mess, it seemed, but the smell was amazing. "Since when do you know how to cook?"

Alex gave a mock-insulted look at the comment. "And just how could you possibly know if I have the ability to cook or not?" He asked, falsely portraying the sound of hurt in his voice.

You smile and shake your head. "Because I once saw you break a toaster because you felt it 'took to long' to pop."

"Hey, not fair!" He retorted, whilst fumbling to take another waffle out of the iron, and add it to a pile that had far too many on it already. "You know that that thing had been broken for years, anyway!"

"Fine, fine." You retort, pushing yourself back to your feet and putting your arms up in defeat. "You win. And, I must say, I'm impressed. A girl loves to wake up to a man who makes her food."

It takes until you make your way to the table for it to occur to you just how odd of a statement that would have been for you just the day before yesterday. It was genuinely shocking at times that your brain had become so comfortable in this new body of yours, but... at the same time, things still seemed so similar to how they had always been, especially with Alex.

Or, at least, as similar as a friendship could be after the start of a series of high-risk sexual escapades.

"Besides." Alex finally commented after a momentary, comfortable silence in the room. "I had to find a way to thank you for last night... and, well, this entire weekend." Alex came back toward the table and set a plate of waffles in front of you.

You don't respond right away. It's a strange thing, the combination of jealousy, lust, and **** pride that comment brings out of you. While you dislike that the punctuation of that comment is that last night, a night you shared with a woman you genuinely did not like and a man you barely know, was the highlight, you still take an enormous pride in the idea of Alex taking such enjoyment out of taking advantage of you as he see's fit. "It's been... wonderful, actually." You say, as you finish buttering your waffles. For a moment, you consider voicing the feeling in your gullet of appreciation to him, for changing a terrifying situation into a roller-coaster ride of fun... and how you truly are somewhat regretful of it ending so soon.

Instead, your body takes over where your mouth refuses. "And besides..." You say, taking on the flirtatious attitude that has become all too common. "As long as you continue to do what you've done all weekend, that's all the thanks I would ever need."

This brings a rather playful smirk out of Alex, one that you've come to know in a different way this weekend... and one that excites you. You know that he has an idea, a naughty one... and you know you'll likely be unable and unwilling to say no.
