Misplaced luggage.

After waiting for another hour, Edgar's colleague returned. Empty-handed.

"I thought I told you retrieve her checked bag quickly," Edgar said sharply.

His colleague did not react outwardly to the tone of his voice but instead gave Erica his full attention. "I'm sorry ma'am, but it seems like your bags were... misplaced."

Erica's spirits fell. "They can't be misplaced!"

"All luggage from flight ASA3317 were claimed. It is possible that your bag was not loaded onto the plane before take-off. Alternatively, another passenger might have claimed your bag in your stead."

"Very well," Edgar said. "Ma'am. We have been more than generous. I will not be delayed any longer to report in. You will return the robe. Now!"

Erica was fed up with her string of bad luck at this point. She shrugged off the robe, threw it at Edgar, and ran out of the hangar and onto the transport.
