Mischievous Fun

Sam and Lacey both began running their own ideas through their head, trying to figure out a way to nudify their mom. Being that Joanne was wearing only her robe, both had deduced she had nothing to wear beyond what she already had on. All they needed to do, was find a way to coax her out of the robe.

Lacey was thinking of what would get her mom to leave the robe, when she looked down at her glass of orange juice and half empty plate. Lacey knew her mom was a bit of a neat freak, and that a potential stain or bit of dirt would discomfort her enough that she would have to take a shower.

Carefully, Lacey stood from the table, carrying her drink and plate in both hands. As she walked around towards the trash can, she intentionally tripped up, falling right towards Joanne, spilling all of the contents in her hands all over her.

It took a few moments for Joanne to react, and survey the damage. The orange juice hadn’t missed its mark, splattering on her hair, and then onto the robe. The eggs had piled into her lap, while the one piece of toast had fell on her legs, halfway on the robe and halfway on her knee. It was clear to Lacey the fall had worked just as well as intended, so she began to profusely apologize. “I’m sorry mom! Are you ok?” She said, scooping the eggs and toast back onto her plate. Small bits of residue still clung defiantly to the fabric.

Joanne had finally taken toll of the damage, and could only describe her feelings with one word: gross. The robe felt gross, her hair felt gross, everything seemed gross. She stood up, smiling down at Lacey. “It’s all right. It’s just a little spill.” She said, brushing her robe off. “I needed a shower anyways. Go ahead and start getting ready, and packing the rest of your things.” Sam and Lacey looked at each other, with Lacey winking at her older sister, seeming to pass the baton over.

Joanne quickly walked across the house towards her bedroom, and closed the door behind her. As soon as the door was closed, Joanne threw her robe off, feeling relieved to discard the now sticky robe. She was very quick to run into the bathroom, and shut the door behind her.

Sam had waited patiently for the sound of the shower to confirm her mom had discarded the robe, and then opened the bedroom door. She grinned, seeing the robe lying on the floor. But, Sam knew that wasn’t good enough. She tiptoed to the bathroom door, opening it slowly to make sure her mom wouldn’t hear. She noticed a single clean towel left on the rack, and grinned. Before she could be noticed, Sam grabbed the clean towel, and checked to make sure there wasn’t anything else she had missed. She looked towards the fogged up glass of the walk-in shower, and noticed the figure of her mom. With a sly grin, she thought “This is going to be good!” Before making her silent escape out the bathroom door.
