Mina Steals the Necklace

Mina closed the hotel door behind her and began walking down the hall.

*Nicole's necklace really was beautiful... I bet that would look even better on me though.* Mina thought to herself as she started her hotel duties. *I bet I could impress Jake with something like that.*

Jake was Mina's newest crush who also worked at the hotel. Finding time to talk to him was difficult for her though, as they worked opposite shifts. Occasionally they would see each other when he came in for his night shift and as she was just leaving. Despite her trying to impress him every brief chance she got, her attempts just weren't enough to catch his attention. Mina usually never had any problems getting guys, she loved teasing them and playing hard to get. But with Jake it seemed she was on the receiving end.

Several minutes of work passed as Mina heard a door open back down the hall. Mina glanced over her shoulder only to see Nicole locking her door back. She was holding a towel and several other beach supplies. The necklace wasn't around her neck.

*It looks like shes headed back down to the beach.* Mina pondered. *This could be my chance....* Mina hesitated. Nicole was very kind to her, was she really considering stealing her daughter's necklace?

Nicole finished with her door and started down the hall away from Mina, not noticing the girl maliciously planning. Mina had made up her mind. She was going to make that necklace hers.

Mina watched as the mother turned the corner and instantly started moving toward the door. She needed to be swift if she was going to get away with this. Taking a deep breath Mina used her employee card to open Nicole's room and stepped inside. The necklace was laying on her bed along with several of the bags Mina helped Nicole carry. Unable to back out now, Mina grabbed the necklace and ran back to the door. She poked her head out into the hallway to make sure it was still empty.

The coast was clear. *Today really is my lucky day.* She thought to herself. Mina locked the door behind her and hastily made her way to the employee break room. She intended to stash the necklace in her locker.
