Midna waits in her cell

Midna paced back and forth in the small space that her cell provided. She had been at it for the last hour and half, she'd been restless all night, and when she did sleep, she had humiliating nightmares of people watching her, laughing at her.

Midna shook her head, "Focus dammit!" You're doing this for your people after all, she thought to herself, it's worth it, even if it will be utterly humiliating. Midna felt herself gag just at the thought, would she really be able to go through with this?

As if summoned by her conflicted thoughts, two guards marched towards her cell. The two twili were loyal to Zant through and through, she remembered their faces from the day Zant overthrew her. She shot daggers at them with her glare, but they stubbornly refused to either acknowledge her or fall dead. One of them fumbled with a ring of keys and unlocked her cell door, without a word he opened it and stepped to the side.

Midna scowled, I suppose it's time for me to go, she thought. She moved to step through the door, but the first guard stopped her with his hand. "The true king Zant, has ordered that you are to wear this." The guard motioned to the other guard as he held up a piece of cloth in his hand, or at least, it was only big enough to be considered a piece of cloth, it was an ugly shade of pink, and it looked more like a vest than any kind of reasonable clothing.

"What?!" Midna shrieked again. Was her humiliation really going to start this early?

"You heard me. Now get back in your cell and put this on!" The guard shove the garment into her arms and pushed her back before closing the cell door. Midna stumbled backwards with a shocked look on her face. She used to be their queen, and now they were treating her like a common prisoner.

She looked down at the small and patchy garment in her hands, was she really going to wear this?
