If the knight was excited, he didn't show it. Either way, flying straight for Kirby in the front, he re-enacted the mid-boss fight of so many great Kirby games, engaging his foe with a series of sword slashes.

Palutena, on the other hand, locked eyes with King Dedede. "Sorry, Dedede... Cheesecake's not on the menu!" she joked, waving her staff and focusing a targeting reticent over the king. Balls of luminescent, white-hot energy gathered quickly at the tip of her scepter. For his part, Dedede smirked, raising a Gordo out of his pocket and tossing it into the air. Her laser shots fired out while his Gordo bounced forward; they connected mid-air. "Ha! I've seen this before! Enjoy the taste of your own servant... toy... spikeball... guy!" Palutena taunted him, watching as his minion was redirected back into the king's face.

A smile remained on the bird's pudgy yellow beak as he opened wide, sucking back in the Gordo.

"... Oh crap," Palutena swore, raising her reflector in front of herself for a means of defense.
