Captain Bhanoa and Cmdr Grater sat in the officers mess having breakfast as the Unison hovered at communications depth. Being so close to the surface the submarine rolled a little but nothing the stabilisers could not handle. As they ate their breakfast the signals officer entered and handed the captain the message that had come in from the admiralty. She dismissed the signals officer and read the message.

Have received your message and have investigated your discovery and the following has been found.

1- U1226 is believed to have sailed July 1944.

2- The last message received 23rd October 1944 reporting Snorkel problems.

3- Rumours reported she had been found in 1993 off the coast of Massachusetts.

4- Claim was debunked as the last message put her 327 miles south of Iceland.

Your orders are to stay on station and await the arrival of H.M.S Firefly with a special investigation team led by Cmdr Jonas. FireFly should arrive at 15:30 your time. You will help and defer to Cmdr Jonas in regards to the investigation as long as it does not endanger Unison and her crew.

Captain Bhanoa handed the message to Helen and carried on with her breakfast wondering why there was no mention of the detected radiation. Helen looked up and said that they had a mystery and also noted that there was no mention of the radiation. Well, it would be a question for Cmdr Jonas when he or she arrived in around five hours from now. They were really in a hurry to check out the U1226 normally they were just charted and left alone as potential war graves. Lucky that it was not her decision. Some high up had taken the UK's nuclear deterrent and sidelined her.

They finished breakfast and Harinder invited Helen back to her cabin for crew evaluations while they waited. Once inside the captain's cabin, they stripped each other and started to make out.
