After what seemed like hours, Melody took a deep breath and finally spoke. "Christy," she began. "You clearly lied to take advantage of me, and I don't know how far you would have gone before telling me anything. And that was wrong, clearly, but I forgive you."
I couldn't believe it. She didn't flip out in anger? I would have, definitely.
Melody continued. "There was one good thing that came out of pouring myself into the Bible, was learning to forgive. So I forgive you, Christy."
I still couldn't believe it. But I managed to squeak out, "Thank you, Melody."
She nodded, and said, "And if I'm being completely honest, when I offered to let you have your way with me, it's because I secretly wanted it." Melody looked away from me, clearly embarrassed. I let her continue, "I had never touched or been touched by anyone before, and part of me, even though I believed homosexuality was a sin, desperately wanted to know what it was like." She took another deep breath. "So, even if we had continued, I don't think I would have minded."
My mind was spinning. All I could think to do was to hug her again. "Thank you, Melody."
"You're welcome," she replied warmly.
We stayed that way for several minutes, embracing each other, contemplating what had just occurred. Then, without parting, Melody said, "Hey Christy?"
"Yeah?" I replied.
"There's still some time before Melody comes home. Where does that leave us?" I glanced at the clock on my wall, and saw that it was true.
I pulled away from, and took another look at her. Her wavy brown hair and deep brown eyes, matching Monica's. Her body was covered by the blanket, but she was still shirtless. Her eyes were puffy from crying, and her cheeks were flushed a bright red. She honestly looked like a mess, and she was honestly beautiful.
I spoke. "I really meant it when I said you were beautiful, Melody. But I don't know if you believed me. But if it's okay with you, I can make you feel beautiful."
