Meet up with Eve

The two women adjusted their military uniforms on the sidewalk outside the club. Dozens of people were waiting to get inside. A red velvet rope and a large doorman restricted access.

"Candy! Candy! Over here!" A redheaded woman waved from one side. Eve almost did look like Rita Hayworth, with her wavy red tresses past her shoulders. She had a beautiful face, and, even from twenty feet, Diana could see her emerald eyes. The Amazon princess unconsciously held her breath. Eve was stunning. Even dressed in just her work clothes, a white blouse and black skirt that showed off her curves and great legs, Eve stood out in the crowd. Diana let her breath out slowly.

Candy trotted over and Diana followed. "Hello, hon," Candy said with a little sing-song in her voice.

Eve and Candy hugged, but Eve gazed at Diana over Candy's shoulder, eyes smiling. When they separated, Eve said, "And who's your friend?"

"Ooops, sorry, Eve. This is Diana Prince. We work together. Diana, this is Eve Kennedy from the State Department."

Diana put her hand out, but Eve hugged her like she did Candy.

"Any friend of Candy is a friend of mine," she said. Eve held the hug for a couple seconds longer than necessary.

Diana was surprised by Eve's reaction to her. She hadn't expected such a warm, interested welcome from the newcomer. Maybe Candy was right. Eve seemed very nice.

Eve said, "Let's go up to the line. We should get in easily with you two in uniform. I've got my State Department badge." She ushered the other two by stepping between them and putting her arms around their waists. They all giggled. Diana's skin tingled from the familiar contact with the redhead.

The trio moved to the doorman at the ropes. He glanced up and down their lovely forms, smiling, and waved them all in. "Enjoy the show, ladies!" He barely looked at their ID badges.
