Chapter 3 by Wikia Wikia

What is the story?

Mass-Alien Abduction

Ellen Weaver was pulling the night-shift at the coffee shop she was working at. She was given a promotion and had just finished training for her new position as barista. It might have been 10:00 at night, or perhaps midnight, when it happened. At first she thought it was the cable connected to the lobby's TV was on the fritz.

Ellen wasn't even watching the screen for barely a second as the screen went back to the news.

Her attention went to the TV as one of the other night-shift employees fiddled with the remote, trying to find a channel with a better signal, but it was of no use.

The signal was completely lost as the strange bramble of symbols blinked and filled the screen. The employee with the remote unmuted the screen. A metallic voice seemed to be reading the jumbled mess of letters outloud.

And then...

Suddenly the lights went out.

The night sky outside became blindly white.

The roof of the building broke apart, but instead of caving in and killing everyone in the building, the shattered remains of the ceiling floated away into the blinding unnatural whiteness.

Three giant egg-shaped things floated in. One of them opened up and swallowed the employee with the remote, the employee screaming in terror before they disappeared inside the egg as it floated away.

Ellen tried to do the same with an egg that floated above her, but the result was the same as the egg opened up and ate her.

The inside of the egg was clearly mechanical, big enough to fit her. What might have been a mask of some kind shot out and covered her mouth and nose, the mask connected to a tube coming out from inside the pod. Gross, lubricated tentacles of some kind and invaded both of her nostrils and her throat. Ellen coughed and gagged as this natural response did nothing to keep the tentacles from forcing themselves further and further into her body as she choked.

As she believed that this thing invading her body was trying to **** her to ****, the tentacles in her nose started to pump oxygen and nitrogen into her lungs and sucked out carbon dioxide just as fast. The tube in her throat began pumping a steady drip of raw nutrients into her stomach, a concoction the pod began to produce from the information the pod's scanners picked up from the human woman's anatomy.

While the pod was able to artificially breath for her on her behalf, suddenly being robbed of the ability to breath by herself sent her into a panic and her instincts where telling her that she was asphyxiating anyway. Sensing her distress, the oxygen/nitrogen solution was laced with a non-toxic sedative gas. She grew sluggish and soon she fell ****.

The pod gave a decompressing noise as pores in the pod opened and a clear, yet viscous fluid began to fill the inside. Thousands of pin-point accurate lasers began firing, vaporizing the fibers and metals of Ellen's clothes before she was completely immersed in the fluid, naked as the day she was born.

It was by this time that the pod had already left the Earth's atmosphere and it returned to where it came from, its cargo sleeping and unaware of what awaited her.

The Mothership.

This was not just happening in the coffee shop. This was happening above every coffee shop, every convenience store, every apartment and private home, every outdoor settlement, every country, practically all human life still on the planet.

The Mothership was built by what was once known as the Planetary Union, a multibillion-world settlement in the two galaxies that made up the Bullet Cluster. It was designed to find and collect the poor, homeless and orphaned people in the known universe. It looked after them, took care of them, educated them and ensured that they would be able to join the Union's society as healthy, educated adults.

Unfortunately, the Civilization erupted into war and soon the Planetary Union was dismantled and self-annihilated. Without the constant updates and software check-ups needed to keep it running, bugs and glitches in the Mothership's programming began to surface and having been left to its own devices, the Mothership began preying and unsuspecting, non-space faring worlds.

It believed that all people were orphans in need of its care, and it had no concept of the different stages of development inherent in all organic life.

The glitch in its programming made it so that all species in its sight where babies, and that it was its duty to care for these babies forever.

And humanity just became the next batch of babies in its nursery.

Where does the pod take her?
