“Miss Lauren, I was able to get you a gig,” Mary said.

“Ok, when is it?” Lauren asked.

“25 minutes,” Mary said.

“WHAT?! What kind of time frame is that?!” Lauren shouted.

“S-sorry it’s all they had for today,” Mary said. “But it’s just a few blocks down the road.”

“Okay and what does it entail?” Lauren asked.

“I’m not actually sure,” Mary said. “They didn’t specify but it’s for a company run by Victoria Hawk who has a strong reputation and would be good for your marketing scheme.”

Lauren sighed. “Fine, I’ve heard of her. She used to run the modeling for Fashion Weekly. So it can’t be too bad, but you’re on thin ice Mary. You better get your act together,” she said as Lauren hurried to get ready knowing that Victoria didn’t like it when her models were late.

Lauren quickly got dressed and rushed out the door.
