"When's your mom coming, Jane?" asks the blonde with the bob haircut. She's wearing a red-and-white striped sweater, well filled in front -- though you suspect a little padding -- and has been doing a kind of roll the shoulder move every so often to show it off.

Jane brushes back her dark hair and puts down her drink. Her mouth twists up a little to one side. "They're keeping her late tonight," she says, holding up her cellphone. The diner has decent coverage, even if your house doesn't. Jane has a simple knit blouse with a collar that doesn't show off anything and a couple of cupful boobs on her chest. "How we gonna get home?" says the third, a skinny fellow with short dark hair who hasn't grown into his broad shoulders.

"You could walk us, Billy," says the blonde.

"Marsha!" he says. "It's miles."

Marsha, Billy, and Jane look at each other.

"All right," Jane says after the others nod. "Let me text my mom."
