Will they reach the exit safely?
Marus intervenes
An iron gate slammed down just inches from Taihon's face. Rogue spun around to see a similar gate crashing into place on the other side of the corridor, sealing off any hope of escape.
"Fuck!" Taihon cursed, his voice hoarse with frustration. "Fuck! Fuck!"
Marus's laughter boomed from above, echoing ominously off the cold stone walls. "I expected more from you, Taihon," he taunted. "I thought you would have made her scream by now." His voice dripped with sarcasm. "And here I was, beginning to think that your methods could be entertaining. Why on earth did you untie her? You should have been enjoying every inch of her body and screams of pain!"
Marus's voice grew louder, and more menacing. "And that blowjob! It made me sick! Why wasn't her face ravaged?"
"Nobody has any interest in talking to you, demon," Mira said with an undertone of disdain.
"Sorry, my dear Paladin," Marus said, trailing his words, "I couldn't help but overhear your chat about the not-so-noble knight Avarel... Why didn't you tell him that you recognize the name? I am sure Taihon would be very interested."
What is he talking about?" Taihon turned to Mira, his brow furrowed in confusion. "You know that piece of filth?"
"Taihon, don't waste your breath on this paladin scum," Marus interrupted, his voice dripping with malice. "I am tired of you talking with a cunt instead of using it as intended. Buy maybe you'll change your mind once I tell you that she is the daughter of Knight Averell." Marus entered into a fit of maniacal laughter, "Yes, Mira, yes. He is not mistaken. It is correct Averell. You willingly sucked your own brother's cock, didn't you? What do you think your precious goddess would say about that?"
"Is this true? Is Avarel really your father?" Rogue asked Mira, his voice trembling with disbelief. Somehow, he couldn't shake the nagging feeling that Marus was telling the truth. It explained that familiarity he sensed in Mira's features.
"My father used that name in the past," Mira finally admitted, her voice shaking with barely restrained emotion. "But he never did what you claim. I am sure of it. He would never hurt a woman in such a way." Her eyes blazed defiance as she continued, "And even if you were my brother, we have nothing in common!"
Mira was still in denial, her mind reeling from thel revelation. "He would never do such a thing," she whispered to herself, as if saying it aloud would make it any less true.
"Oh, but he did," Marus cackled. "Taihon, what more evidence do you need? Isn't this your biggest dream? To have Averell's daughter at your mercy?" The demon was inpatient. "While you were starving, she had a luxurious life," he continued, goading him further. "While you were barely tolerated by your grandparents, she was loved by hers. If that isn't enough motivation for you... entertain me and I will let you go free. Break her. I know that you know how."
