Chapter 3 by kingkhan19
Who and where are you?
Maria, entertainment journalist
"This is not the weekend I had in mind."
Maria sighed as she sank onto the bed in her Los Angeles hotel room, staring at the ceiling in exasperation.
Ever since she was a teenager, Maria had been fascinated by movies and television. She admired both male and female actors, captivated by their performances and the stories they brought to life. Their talent, charisma, and ability to transform into different roles amazed her, and she often lost herself in the worlds they created on screen. She and her friends would spend hours talking about their favorite series, performers, and what they hoped to see next.
Her passion made her want to pursue acting herself, but that dream quickly ended when she realized her lack of talent. Instead, she earned a journalism degree and started writing about the industry’s biggest stars—covering gossip, news, and behind-the-scenes stories. She soon found herself working for *Star Spotlight*, one of the top entertainment magazines in the country, where her work was praised by readers for being honest, respectful, and insightful.
Her latest assignment, however, was proving to be more nerve-wracking than she had anticipated. This week, Hollywood was buzzing with excitement as one of the biggest film festivals of the year was underway. The event attracted A-list celebrities, up-and-coming actors, and industry legends, all gathered in one place to celebrate cinema. *Star Spotlight* had secured exclusive interviews, and Maria had been chosen to cover the event, sitting down with some of the biggest names in the business.
It was an incredible opportunity—at least, that’s what her editor insisted. Maria was excited, but she couldn’t shake the nagging insecurity creeping in. She admired these actors so much, and now she had to stand among them, speaking to them face-to-face. She was just a journalist, not someone who belonged in their glamorous world. Compared to the stunning celebrities she would be interviewing, she felt plain and unremarkable.
She felt it was reflected in her appearance. At 28 years old, she was 5’6” with pale skin and curly, reddish-brown hair that always seemed a little too frizzy. Her face was full of freckles, and she wore black glasses, giving her a somewhat bookish look. She had an average, rectangular body—neither curvy nor toned nor particularly skinny— with a soft frame that lacked the striking features of the stars she covered. She had small A-cup breasts and a flat butt, which she was already very insecure about. She knew some people would find her endearing, but she couldn’t help but compare herself to the dazzling actors and actresses she admired. God, she wished she had even a fraction of their effortless beauty and presence.
“Get a grip,” she muttered to herself, taking a deep breath. “You’re here now. Just get through this, and then figure out your next move.”
Maria sits up and grabs her notebook, reviewing her questions. The festival wasn’t going to wait, and neither would the biggest stars in Hollywood. It was time to step up and prove she could handle this.

The worst thing to have happen to someone is to lose their clothes in public or be into a humiliating situation. But for these poor losers, it causes them to have the best day of their lives. Maybe they win the lottery or get a promotion. But usually, the unthinkable happens: their crush or even a hot stranger can't get enough of them.
