Man without a Wife

You make your way to a house with a Sold sign and an unpacked moving van. New home owners are always good buyers. You walk up the steps and ring the doorbell. A man in his later thirties answers the door.

“Hello,” the man says, “Are you with Neighborhood Association?”

“No, sir. I’m selling cosmetics. Is your wife home?”

“I’m sorry, I’m unmarried...”

“Have a nice day then, sir.”

“Wait!” He says a bit too forcefully, “Why don’t you come in and have a beer?”
